When you use SilverHelp, we:

• Review applications from professionals who want to join
• Request evidence of insurance
• Check references where provided
• Match you with professionals based on your needs and location
• Provide a platform for updates and communication

We do not:

• Employ the professionals on our platform
• Control how or when they work
• Set their prices
• Supervise visits
• Handle payments for services

All professionals on SilverHelp are independent contractors. They run their own businesses and are responsible for:

• Their own taxes and business affairs
• Maintaining appropriate insurance
• The quality of their work
• Their conduct and professionalism

When you engage a professional through SilverHelp, you are entering into a direct arrangement with them. Any agreement about services, pricing, scheduling, or other matters is between you and the professional.

We review all professional applications before accepting them. Our review includes assessing their application, requesting evidence of insurance, and checking references where provided.

Important: We do not carry out formal identity verification, DBS checks, criminal background checks, or credit checks. We rely on information provided by professionals and may not be able to verify all claims made in their applications.

While we take reasonable steps to review professionals, our review process has limitations. We cannot guarantee:

• The accuracy of information provided by professionals
• That professionals will perform work to any particular standard
• That professionals are suitable for every situation

Families should exercise their own judgement when engaging professionals. You may wish to ask professionals to show certificates, qualifications, or insurance documents directly.

Because we are a matching service and not the provider of services, SilverHelp is not responsible for:

• The quality or outcome of work performed by professionals
• Any damage to property during or after a visit
• Personal injury or harm
• Theft or loss of items
• Disputes between families and professionals
• Non-performance or cancellation of services
• Any loss, damage, or expense arising from services provided

Professionals on our platform carry their own public liability insurance. If something goes wrong during a visit, you should contact the professional directly. If the issue relates to their work, their insurance may cover it.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SilverHelp (and Galaxy Online Services) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our service.

SilverHelp connects families with professionals for practical household tasks such as cleaning, gardening, handyman work, and general home support. We are not a care agency and do not provide:

• Medical advice or healthcare services
• Personal care (such as bathing, dressing, or medication)
• Nursing care
• Social care assessments

If your loved one has medical or care needs beyond household tasks, please consult appropriate healthcare providers or your local authority's adult social care services.

Our professionals may report general observations about wellbeing (such as noting that someone seemed well or that they have a concern), but this is not a substitute for proper care assessments or medical attention.

We try to keep all information on SilverHelp accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that everything is always correct, complete, or current.
